Age Discrimination

Following policy changes and mismanagement, a London College has released details of its voluntary redundancy package.
Apart from appearing to be a smack in the teeth for all of those who’ve sweated blood and tears for its students, it also discriminates against members of staff who’ve not reached middle age, as EducationState understands that the equation used to calculate the final pay-off for the middle aged is a third better.

If this mathematical prejudice was applied to different genders or races it would be totally unacceptable so why should the treatment of younger staff be different?
