Home Schooling Misinformation
In The News, Media Watch, Primary Education, Secondary Education Friday, February 23rd, 2007Interesting reading on the Beeb. Reported that there are now 34,000 students being taught at home. They say there is a dispute regarding the figures. But, are we to believe that these figures are any less reliable than those quoted elsewhere?
Are the DfES deliberately sowing the seeds of suspicion in our minds so that we are not tempted to take our children out of the schooling system and they can continue their control? Makes you wonder. Indeed, why was the headline not ‘Home Schooling Success’ or ‘Government Statistics Failure’?
Parents whose children are being bullied or whose needs are not being met and who then sacrifice their time to teach them should be widely-applauded. And isn’t also admirable that the Edumonolith hasn’t kept tabs on these people like they and other Government departments try to do with us.
