Another Charlatan Restructure
In The News Friday, June 29th, 2007Congratulations from EducationState to the civil serpents and politicians who came up with the idea of splitting the DfES up into two parts: Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills (DIUS) and the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (DBERR).
Genius. So impressive. You think, you spend your younger years slaving away for exams that prove you to be better than most of the rest and you get to rearrange a Government department. So impressive.
Not for the likes of you the question of why this country is still not able to break the link between poverty and educational performance or the monopolisation of top jobs among the privately-educated? NO, no, no. You’ve got two degress from Oxbridge. You don’t do anything real. You simply bathe in former glories, sit on committees and wait for your pension to come. The fact that with an increasing number of people getting firsts and going onto postgraduate study we still can’t solve age-old problems that still plague Education and our society as a whole is fairly depressing. Someone’s taking liberties, don’t you think?
